A superb evening of celebrations for the UK's finest recording professionals celebrated at the inaugural MPG Producer awards at the Cafe de Paris London 12.02.09 with MPG Producer of the Year being won by Bernard Butler (Black Kids,Duffy) also picking up the BRITS producer award. Well done BB! The Deep sponsored 'best newcomer' award was won by the very talented Paul Epworth beating equally talented nominees Dan Hulme and Steve Booker on the night. The Nephu Huzzband 'Live in London' deep produced album nominated for Best Live UK Album lost out along with Dave Gilmours 'Live in Gdansk' to the outright winners Girls Aloud 'All Tangled up' with congratulations to them all. However, we were delighted to see deep studio assistant engineer Andy McBride winning the 'unsung hero' award for all his hard work. Well done Andy! Here's to next years event.
